Hello RW 3!

I hope you are having a good week.  Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts!  Winter is just around the corner :)

This week we have been talking about Fraud and what constitutes as fraudulent behaviour.   I have attached a link below (Calgary Herald Article) from a local newspaper.  The article is about a Calgarian who was arrested for pretending to have cancer, raising money for cancer treatment, and then disappearing.  That man never had cancer and has been arrested for faking a disease and gaining money for it.

What do you think of the article?
What experience do you have with fraud?  (Yourself, a friend, something that happened in your country)

Hello RW 3!

This week I would like for you to write about the following topic:

Some countries have laws that forbid advertising campaigns for tobacco and alcohol.  Do you agree or disagree with these laws? (make sure you state your opinion and give reasons why)

Does your country allow advertising campaigns for tobacco and/or alcohol?

In Canada, tobacco companies often sponsor big events and are therefore given the right to advertise their products.  Alcohol is advertised everywhere and can be easily viewed on billboards, TV commercials, and magazines.

Have a great week!  It's a short one!
